In response to my lament about our lack of timely response to help our freinds, families, partners and allies in America, a reader, hedplug, sent me this, which made me chuckle. I thought it made a good Friday post in light of all the tragedy.

I thought I’d send you a photo that should ease your Blog reader’s minds that Canada is responding to the tragedy in New Orleans. Bill Grahamcrackers and Pal Martian have had our navy fleet pulled out of mothballs and made ready for its rescue contribution. You can see that years of well spent taxpayer money by the Liberals have kept our fleet in tip top shape. Once the ship is towed to Lake Ontario, fitted with a motor it will be deployed swiftly on Lake Ontario to bring aid to the helpless in N.O. Lake Ontario lies near New Orleans doesn’t it?
