“The things we love about B.C.”
That was the headline on the front page of section ‘B’ of the Vancouver Sun (a Canwest Global paper and Vancouver’s preeminent daily, the other one also owned by Canwest Global) —yesterday, Canada Day.
They found Canada Day a fitting day to wax sentimental about… British Columbia, and what makes it such a great place.
Perhaps they got Canada Day confused with B.C. Day, which is August 1, not July 1. Apparently that’s rather easily explainable if you read on.
Naturally, in order to get a real feel for the public they serve and what the public must think along those lines, they polled… their own newsroom —their own news media staff—and asked them to name the things they “loved most about B.C.”
