Just a couple of days ago I was wowed by the polling success of the “moderate” Conservatives who have successfully wrecked the party by moving it to the left, such that voter support is now vanishing even in the face of the hellacious corruption scandal of the mother party, the Liberals.
Here’s another blog entry touting the brilliance of the “moderate Conservatives” particularly in Ontario who thought it would be just a terrific idea to move the Conservative Party over to the left and become Liberal Too.
Why don’t they just all merge? The “Conservative” Party, the Libs and the NDP—and the Greenies too!
No, seriously.
Poll finds Liberal support edges ahead of Tories
A newly released poll indicates the Liberals have surged ahead of the Conservatives, one day before a crucial confidence vote that could topple the government.
The poll, conducted for CTV and The Globe and Mail by The Strategic Counsel from May 12 to May 15, indicates that 33 per cent of Canadians polled support the Liberals, up six percentage points from a poll released last week.
Meanwhile, the Conservatives saw a slight drop nationwide at 30 per cent of support, compared to 31 per cent in the previous poll.
If they all merge under the Liberal banner, they’ll all feel comfy because they’ll all get elected, and they’ll all be at home in their subsidized libby-left pink house. Then we can start an actual conservative party and lead the nation in the right direction. It will take a while. Send money.
