For your viewing pleasure, I present this picture of adoring fans—international fans—of President George W. Bush, conservative Republican, during his trip abroad:

Here’s an Associated Press report on the story:
TBILISI, Georgia – Cheered by tens of thousands in a former Soviet republic, President Bush urged the spread of democracy Tuesday across the former communist world and beyond, declaring that oppressed people “are demanding their freedom and they shall have it.”
Bush said that Georgia, where the peaceful Rose Revolution in 2003 sparked a domino effect of governmental change in the region, was inspiring democratic reformers around the world. “Freedom will be the future of every nation and every people on Earth,” he said.
That was the Associated Press take on the story. But now let’s review how the state-run people’s web site, the CBC.CA division of the Liberal Party, treats this story (hint: where’s the TENS of thousands of people CHEERING for Bush?)
TBILISI, GEORGIA – With dozens of American flags fluttering in the crowds, tens of thousands of people filled the streets of Tbilisi, Georgia, Tuesday to hear U.S. President George W. Bush praise the former Soviet republic as a “beacon of liberty” for the world.
Apparently the people were just “there”, “filling the streets”, simply to “hear” the president …..“praise the former Soviet Republic”. They were not there cheering for Bush, see,—it was the other way around! Thank goodness we have pictures. And non-state-run media.
UPDATE 12:29 PM PDT: These pictures were not from the state-run CBC.CA web site. They show way too much support for George Bush, conservative Republican American President. Plus, they show what I would prognosticate is more than a paltry “dozens” of American flags in the crowd.
