“But I think that at this stage, the separation of Quebec from Canada is not stoppable. It’s a question of time. It’s going to happen.”
Those are the words of the Alfonso Gagliano, Liberal kingpin of the Liberal’s version of a “family” (which is distinctly different than a “traditional Canadian family”, which itself is soon to be redefined by the liberals of Canada), speaking about Paul Martin’s Liberal government.
“He’s going to destroy the party and break up the country,” Gagliano said during a television interview with the CBC’s French-language network.
Amusing how the state-run CBC division of the Liberal Party is being used, in this way, by the Liberal family kingpin to decry his own Liberal Party, and the state-run broadcaster has little choice but to let the broadcast carry on. Imagine the gnashing of teeth. The muttering behind the cameras. The executive offices filled with wide-eyed liberals staring at their 96-inch executron wide-screens as the Liberals implode (they couldn’t care less about the sentiments expressed—that the country itself is about to collapse not unlike the Soviet Union).
Then they’re forced by amusing (to me) necessity to display the news on the state-run people’s web site, at the CBC.CA division of the Liberal Party.
Ahhh. Good times.
UPDATE: Edited the headline of my blog entry. I inadvertently typed “kinkpin” instead of “kingpin”. We’re talking about liberals, here. It’s a forgivable error.
