Canada, actually: Canadian culture is ‘All-American’.

Despite decades of liberal effort to invent, nurture, mandate by law and government policy, and encourage by bribing with tax dollars and subsidizing imagejust about ever single TV show or movie shot in Canada (resulting in that asinine “Canada” logo at the end of every show and movie in Canada as if every single thing you watch was brought to you by… your government, Soviet-style), Canadians still don’t have the slightest clue what their “culture” is.

Well of course they have an idea that it has something to do with Canada having a set of grand Canadian virtues, like the grand noble virtue of taxpayer-funded abortions for any woman any time in any pregnancy no questions asked; a North Korean-style healthcare system that is among the worst and/or most expensive health care in the industrialized world; and what the liberals hope will be coming down the pike really soon: gay ‘marriage’, more pot-smoking by more of our youth, and of course legalized prostitution for liberals to get their taxpayer-subsidized sexual turn-on legally (the wife be damned, since they clearly intend to challenge the very definition of “Canadian Family”).  And of course a Soviet-style social program for every single thing you can think of from cradle (if you make it that far), to grave (and actually, they even have their hands in your back pocket after you’re buried, through estate taxes and so on).

Liberals refuse to believe that left to their own devices, Canadians are just like Americans, with only scant differences.  But what’s troubling about it is that the liberals’ refusal is backed by government laws—Canadian content rules and regulations and banning of American culture like Fox News Channel which they only recently unbanned (after enormous pressure from folks like us), massive government handouts and subsidies and grants and tax breaks of every description, and that incessant use of that now repugnant “Canada” logo which simply reeks of liberalism/socialism to me.

Once again, after many many weeks of my very annoying review (only to liberals), only two Canadian shows made it into the top-twenty of Canadian viewing this past week.  This, despite the state-run CBC, which hardly anybody ever watches, getting BILLIONS and BILLIONS of tax dollars over the years, and all other entertainment media in Canada getting subsidies and tax-breaks out the yin-yang.  And that damn “Canada” logo.
