Big Government legitimizes severity of recession; says it was severe. Check. Media reports it.

Canada: See, we need the government to officially endorse our hitherto fanciful notions.  Inform us that the “recent recession” was short (it’s over!  Wait.  It’s over?), “but severe”.  Had to “do the math” on that one over there at the Stats Can division.  Carry the one… there we go.  OK! It’s official!  Release it to the press!
