It’s not the government who’s calling for it, for once, although they — and Martha I mean the “Conservatives” — tried back in 2005. Actually back then it was a joint effort between a Conservative MP, Stephen Fletcher, and a socialist MP from the you’ve got to be kidding party, Pat Martin, who collectively tried to foist a government ban on trans fats on Canadians —a people who are of course too stupid to make their own decisions, in the eyes of progressives and big-government know-it-alls and all those happy-faced socialists and social-engineering totalitarians like them.
