Liberals and progressives and socialists (whatever name they go by or sheepishly hide from, like the Fabian’s wolf in sheep’s clothing) think that when I expose them for what they really are or expose their latest antics here at PTBC, “Well it’s just a rinky-dink little blog from Canada, so who cares, no big deal, it’s not like anybody reads it.” Well they’re right on some levels, wrong on others.
Denial is more an annoying habit and a necessity for them, in lieu of any cogent counter-argument; and it’s just a knee-jerk, reflexive, old-school defense mechanism than anything medically or psychologically serious.
It’s things like this that help explain why the liberal-left (progressives, socialists, whatever they are) find talk radio, cable news like Fox News (and soon, Sun News in Canada), and the internet, so pernicious. I mean they think it’s pernicious when it’s not in their hands — when they or their government are not in full control of the content. And they seek more control all the time. It’s this increased control —control of the mediums and the message — which they think is “progressive”, and what they call “justice” and “democracy”.
