Just as Canada is nearing a (possibly positive) end to its years-long campaign for a valuable seat at the UN Security Council, the leader of the Liberal Party (and only the Liberal Party —not Canada ) bizarrely chose to very publicly campaign against Canada. With media attention on the UN meetings today and the re-opening of parliament in Canada today, Liberal Michael Ignatieff took the opportunity to question whether our country DESERVED to have that seat at the UN table. And whether we “earned” it or not.
