Democrats used a rare Saturday night (nearly midnight) vote to pass their “health care” (we all know it has little to do with “health care”) bill last night, and foist the biggest increase in the size and control and intrusion of government onto the increasingly less free American people, in history.
This after throwing one of their favorite “principles” under the bus in order to buy support at virtually any cost to them: begrudgingly withdrawing their effort to include federal funding of their beloved free abortions for all! provisions. (You’ll remember they previously called anybody who’d said that their health care plans included government abortion funding “liars” and “Nazis” who were “spreading misinformation” and “lies” to dispel all their “anger” and “tea-bagger” “hate” and “racism”…). Even still, while all but one lone Republican nincompoop from a far-left district in Louisiana voted with most Democrats for it, 39 Democrats voted against their own party’s bill.
We may see some of those Democrats re-elected to office in upcoming midterms.
Now it’s off to the Senate for their perusal and deliberative study of the provisions in the 2,000 page, bigger-government tome.
