Vancouver Sun, Financial Post, Bloomberg, et al. —
Licking Justin Trudeau’s face is a gross thought, clearly, but it’s what the “news” media does, so we should confront that fact. To wit: “Trudeau to provide $5.2B for Newfoundland hydro project” in the Sun. “Trudeau” will do that? “Trudeau” my overtaxed ass. Obviously, it’s YOU and YOUR money which Trudeau literally took out of your pants, and then “provided” to the Newfies. But nice try, Sun. (No, it wasn’t even.)

Bloomberg went with the hideous “Trudeau unveils $5.2B for Newfoundland hydro project”. So the new word for taxing the shit out of you, is “unveils”. Pay your “unveilings” everybody! The Financial Post went with the slightly improved “Ottawa to invest billions in Newfoundland’s troubled Muskrat Falls power project”. “Ottawa?” (And “invest”.) Give me a large personal break. Preferably a tax break.
