“People with power.”
This reminds me of how when Justin Trudeau’s state-owned CBC division addresses the latest corruption or scandal in their Trudeau government, they instead refer to them as “Ottawa.” They’re so sneaky! I had no idea it was Trudeau’s Liberals!
In this case, it’s the NDP in Victoria — or “people with power” if you’re among those who are in abject denial. Not that you’d ever know it reading the lengthy article — even though they’re talking directly and clearly about governments and government policy, neither the name NDP nor New Democratic Party is mentioned even once. Nor Liberal. Nor progressive. Nor ideologues. Nor nincompoops.
They see the truth, and they know what it is (hint: it’s right there in the tweet: “people with power!”), but they can’t say the name. It’s literally life and death, but still, they can’t identify the problem. It’s like they’re in a cult of some sort.
