Obama’s tax cuts started out as being for those making less than $250,000 per year. The middle class.
Republicans and other sensible people balked. That $250,000 threshold would soon, they said, be lowered.
And then it was.

Within the past few days, now that many people have already early-voted (as Obama begged them to do), and most have made up their minds, with just a few days to go before election day, he was heard to say $225,000 in a speech. Then, $200,000 in an ad. His attack dog Biden was on TV saying it was $125,000. Then his surrogate, Governor Richardson, went on a radio show today and said Obama planned to lower taxes for those making under $120,000. Then, a spokesman went on Fox News Channel and said she thinks the middle class is those making $45-50,000. And, she said, the Democrats have been “unequivocally clear.”
