Abortion is the most disgusting, most egregious thing ever thought of by humans. Those of us in the sensible set already know that.
But now, liberals in Canada are, according to this LifeSiteNews.com report, possibly orchestrating a slimy, hidden agenda, by arranging for their Order of Canada division, through their Governor-General division, to award Canada’s highest honor to the “father” of abortion in Canada and now an abortion mill operator, the abortion monster Morgentaler. On July 1 no less.

OTTAWA, June 29, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) – Various sources are reporting that Canada’s Governor General intends to approve a bypassing of normal routine and bestow the Order of Canada on abortionist and militant atheist Henry Morgentaler on Canada Day, Tuesday July 1st. More than any other single person, Dr. Henry Morgentaler, who is referred to as Canada’s Father of Abortion and Father of Secular Humanism is responsible for the current Canadian legal situation of no law restricting or regulating abortion.
“It is dreadful that this honour should even be considered for a man who’s only claim to fame is that he is a professional killer of defenseless babies in their mothers’ wombs,” said Jim Hughes, National President of Campaign Life Coalition. “Those who have received this prestigious medal should return it because it will have been devalued and disgraced,” he continued.
“If Morgentaler had any integrity he would refuse the medal”, said Mary Ellen Douglas, National Organizer of CLC. “This presentation should be given to people who have made Canada a better place to live and the elimination of thousands of human beings who would have contributed to the future of Canada is a disgrace not an honour.”
This past February LifeSiteNews reported that a group of abortion supporters were attempting to force an Order of Canada nomination of Dr. Morgentaler in a “last ditch effort.” A public furor ensued. This quickly ended after a February 20 media release from the office of the Governor General, who is responsible for granting the award, showed that Dr. Morgentaler was not included on the list for 2008.
In a June 28 email bulletin, 4MYCANADA, reported the normal Order of Canada Advisory Committee process may have been changed in order to ensure a Morgentaler nomination. 4MYCANADA states, “Normally anyone who receives this award does so by unanimous consent of the committee that approves nominees. From what we understand at this point, this committee, headed by Chief Justice Beverly McLachlin, PC, decided to over-ride that protocol and take this one to a democratic vote on the committee. The majority of the committee voted in favour of Morgentaler’s nominee and so, for (what we understand) may be the first time in history, the committee appointed someone without their normal unanimous consent – someone who millions of Canadians would not consider a hero in our nation.”
It true, this decision, which requires approval of the Governor General, would represent an extraordinary action by Canada’s pro-abortion elite, to impose an Order of Canada recognition for Henry Morgentaler on the people of Canada.
Canada’s pro-life groups are not taking any chances and are urging an immediate strong public response to hopefully circumvent this apparent high jacking of the Order of Canada process by the pro-abortion Chief Justice, Governor General and other members of the Advisory Committee for their own agenda.

Currently, at the time of this writing on Sunday, callers to the Governor General are very strangely being told by that office to direct their concerns about the Morgentaler nomination to Mary Ellen Douglas, National co-ordinator of Campaign Life Coalition. This does not appear to make any sense. CLC had issued a press release about the nomination on Saturday.
