Just heard:
CBC Newsworld’s “The Scene” entertainment segment anchor (?) / spokesmodel (?) / reporter (?) Carla Robinson was bringing an arts event to our attention with music by… “Chie-cow-ski”.
Apparently that’s how the CBC employees learned to say Tchaikovsky.
That’s how people say that name when they—and everyone else in the newsroom—have no clue how to say that name.
Don’t worry, unlike President Bush, who said “nucular” once, Robinson is not a moron.
