Truth about mad fiend

Trying to buy off tyrants like Ahmadinejad merely increases their contempt

Jewish friends—and I have a large number of them—wonder when I intend to write about the conference of Holocaust deniers organized by Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad.

Now, Ahmadinejad is the Adolf Hitler of the 21st century, having threatened to “wipe Israel off the map” and doing all he can to get his hands on nuclear weapons, which, insanely believing Armageddon is nigh, will use them to hasten mankind’s obliteration.

Well, I’ve hesitated until now to comment on Ahmadinejad’s Tehran conference of hatred, because it’s hard to find words to describe a man who describes the Holocaust as a “myth” and then pulls together a conference of lunatics who apparently believe him when he says Israel’s days are numbered.

You think I’m exaggerating?

These are some of this mad fiend’s own words: “Thanks to the people’s wishes and God’s will, the trend for the existence of the Zionist regime is downwards and this is what God has promised and what all nations want.”

He went on: Just as the Soviet Union was wiped out and today does not exist, so will the Zionist regime be wiped out.”

Here Ahmadinejad is talking about several million innocent men, women and children just trying to live peaceful lives in a small strip of land.

Again we return to Ahmadinejad’s 20th century predecessor, the equally mad Nazi dictator who actually did slaughter several million innocent Jewish men, women and children.

Fortunately, Hitler didn’t get his hands on atomic weapons—although he was trying to do so—and the western democracies finally marshalled their forces and at a terrible cost saved civilization from an age of darkness.

I say “finally marshalled their forces” because as far back as 1924, Hitler had started to write Mein Kampf in which he clearly outlined what he intended to do once his National Socialist German Workers’ Party seized power, which it did in 1933.

Few wanted to listen to what Hitler planned. They hoped he’d go away, or be talked out of it. When brave individuals such as Winston Churchill sounded the alarm, they were ridiculed.

Coincidentally, just this past week, Britain’s Tony Blair echoed Churchill, warning us of the frightening danger Ahmadinejad poses, but also that much of the world is trying to ignore this fanatic’s aims.

Like Hitler, Ahmadinejad really has told us exactly what he wants to do, not only to the Jewish race, but to the rest of us, too. He’s quite prepared to meet his God, and wants us all to meet our Gods, too.

The reference to the Soviet Union being “wiped out” stirred me to think of another ruthless dictator, now seemingly ailing, Cuba’s Fidel Castro.

When Moscow was installing atomic weapons on Cuba in 1962 in basically a power play, a deranged Castro actually begged Soviet leader Nikita Krushchev to launch them at U.S. cities.

Krushchev—the Butcher of Ukraine—knew such an assault would result in the annihilation of his own empire, and ignored Castro’s pleadings.

As brutal as he was—having starved some 12 million Ukrainian farm families to death—he wasn’t suicidal.

Ahmadinejad is.

Also, rattling a nuclear sabre right now is yet another madman, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-Il, who has reportedly killed 10% of his own population by starvation or in forced labour camps. Kim boasts he already has nuclear weapons, and the Japanese are terrified they are one of his targets.

President George W. Bush, who has said he “loathes” Kim, and Prime Minister Stephen Harper have both joined Blair in expressing alarm over Ahmadinejad’s hate conference and his general aims and over Kim’s nuclear arsenal. Sadly, the main thrust of others seems to be in attempts to buy Ahmadinejad and Kim off in something resembling the fruitless “land for peace” deal made with Hitler in the 1930s.

The stark truth is you can’t buy off individuals such as Hitler, Ahmadinejad or Kim—they see such moves as simply evidence of weakness or cowardice.

Hopefully, the Israelis will likely deal with Ahmadinejad, to the outrage of the hypocritical UN, but it’s hard to tell who will deal with Kim. Death, at long last, will deal with Castro.
