In the latest snail-mail newsletter from the National Citizens Coalition (it’s always good reading) they write this bit of pre-Hallowe’en horror about Buzz Hargrove (recently booted out of the you’ve got to be kidding party because he supported the Liberals in the last election), and his official plans for our country (through the Liberal Party I guess!) and the unions, and I imagine he’ll count on the willing union support of the far liberal-left in the media and academia as well:
Canadian Auto Workers Union boss Buzz Hargrove recently declared war on the National Citizens Coalition and everything we stand for.
He did it at a recent CAW convention where he released his political manifesto entitled “In the Eye of the Storm: How the CAW is Re-Making Canadian Politics.”
That title is no understatement.
Buzz Hargrove wants to re-make Canada into a country you and I wouldn’t recognize.
Simply put, “In the Eye of the Storm” is nothing less than a blueprint on how to turn Canada into a socialist state.
Here’s an excerpt from this unbelievable document under the heading “Working Class Politics”:
“We want a society in which working people can have true hope, security, and equality… to accomplish this, we need to be able to thoroughly regulate private business; manage employment, investment, and trade; expand public ownership and non-profit enterprise; and run the economy in the interests of working people. If we succeed, we will have fundamentally transformed our economy and society, replacing capitalism with socialism.”
You can’t get much clearer than that.
Hargrove wants to destroy the free market system; he wants to destroy our heritage, he would like to unwind everything you and I have fought so hard to protect and preserve in this country.
… He talks about subsidizing strident left-wing pressure groups; he talks about mobilizing his allies to ensure either the NDP or Liberals win key swing ridings in the next election; he talks about pushing the Liberal Party to the extreme left.
On page 20 of the
communist
Buzz liberal-left manifesto for Canada, we find:
“Ultimately, we want more ability to collectively control how society (including our economy) evolves. As workers, we seek power to influence all the decisions that collectively affect us, all the time—not just in elections.”
You can read the whole thing here.
Our PTBC friend, National Citizens Coalition front man Gerry Nicholls has a column posted here at PTBC which speaks to this document (also printed at the Globe and Mail, August 23).
Support the NCC through their web site MoreFreedom.org, and support any conservative organization you can, any way you can. Not only must word get out about this, but support must be vividly shown to all of the conservative-oriented sites and organizations, by all Canadians who believe in a free Canada.
It’s literally a fight for our country and our way of life.
