The liberal-left want to chat over tea and buns with the likes of these people…

…Islamofascist jihadists.  Terrorists, some of whom plant bombs in a toy cart and plant it amongst innocent children playing in a park.  These poor, misunderstood folks pursue this activity in order to purposely blow the children to pieces in front of their parents, whom they also hope to kill in their kill-fest.

They succeed in killing two boys aged between 10 and 12 and injuring another 17 people under the age of 18.

It’s Bush’s fault. And Harper.  And capitalism. And Christians. There you go: now you’re thinkin’ like a liberal!

Iraq bomb in toy cart hits children in playground

Mussab Al-Khairalla, Reuters
Published: Friday, October 12, 2007

BAGHDAD—A bomb hidden in a cart of toys killed two children and wounded 17 others in a playground in northern Iraq on Friday, the first day of a national holiday to celebrate the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.

They deserve our compassion and understanding.  The killers I mean.  It’s Bush who’s evil.  And that Fox News Channel.

To digress a bit, now note how in the very next paragraph, the “reporter”, a fella named Mussab Al-Khairalla of the al-Reuters news agency, rushes—apparently boiling over with rage at the position he’s found himself in having to report this Islamist horror rather than some phony anti-American muckraking —to taint the story by quickly mixing-in a totally different story: one which has that nice anti-American taint to it.  He seems to seek to distract—to confuse the two stories and turn the real story into one that faults the U.S. for something instead of sticking to the egregious act of terror at the real center of the story.  He does this by employing a favorite trick of liberal-left, and/or anti-American media:  using hideously obvious anti-American moral equivalence and relativist muck-think. Let’s watch!

Next paragraph:

The attack came the day after U.S. forces killed nine children and six women in an air strike northwest of the capital that targeted suspected senior al-Qaeda leaders in an area known as a haven for Islamist militants.

Yeah, see, there’s no difference between the two groups here.  They’re all just the same.  Americans.  Islamofascist terrorist savages.  Potato, potahto.

The rest of the story deals largely with the accidental deaths caused by the evil Americans rather than the bombing by the Islamofascist terrorists, constantly going back and forth between the two as if they’re on the same moral footing.

It’s a disgraceful display of garbage journalism.  It’s in the National Post. A mainstream paper—not al-Jazeera.
