In their usual fashion, the CBC, upon hearing and I think begrudgingly reporting the news of employment gains in Canada (they keep telling us but it’s only because people are starting their own businesses!, as if that’s a negative rather than a positive), and the possibility of Employment Insurance rule changes (making it more attractive to be or remain unemployed, but hush my mouth!), the CBC reflexively turns to the full-on socialists for their valuable commentary on the matter. This will help set Canadians straight after having to listen to that Conservative Finance Minister Flaherty.
They immediately dig up another expert from the far-left Canadian Centre for Policy Alternatives, where, though the CBC purposely doesn’t inform us, the “Alternative” is socialism.
By the way, note that when Canada’s employment numbers are looking brighter, the official how to think CBC banner line today, as seen below, is the ever so enthusiastic “CANADA’S ECONOMY”. Back in January, when it wasn’t so bright and “stimulus packages” (barf in my mouth) still needed to be passed, it was called “GLOOMY JOB PICTURE”.
