While climbing aboard one of our fabulous Canadian Forces F-18 fighter jets at the Abbotsford Airshow, I noticed the right engine intake was stuffed full of pamphlets and sundry literature. Things to read and talk about. Over a damn fine cuppa tea and a bun perhaps.
My head was exploding with smart aleck-y material.
Our visit to the Abbotsford International Airshow was eye opening. We got there early so we could check out the static displays before the airshow action began. We were lucky enough to see and touch some of the most awsome jets in the world including B1B bombers (as with many aircraft there, there were two or more of them—one for show and others for flying demonstrations), F-117 stealth aircraft, F-15 Strike Eagles, F-16s, F-18s, and many many others. Although there were two F-117 stealth aircraft (one just for a flying demo), that one was about the only jet that didn’t fly yesterday because of the low cloud.
