The Republican National Committee elected a news chairman yesterday, replacing Michael Steele with Reince Priebus, the head of the Wisconsin Republicans. Naturally I was watching Fox News Channel’s coverage of the news yesterday, as it is a pretty important affair as politics go. And anyway here in Canada, the state-owned media, the CBC, wasn’t covering it. I don’t know what their man in Washington, Susan Bonner, was doing yesterday. Possibly finding a yet another new possible angle on that whole ”Some blame Sarah Palin for the Arizona shooting” caper.
Private-sector competitor CTV.ca does have a big story about it today off their front page. CBC.ca does not. I did a search for Reince Priebus at CBC for the story, but the state’s search engine failed to turn anything up. It did offer up some suggestions.
I didn’t mean “Prince” Priebus, no, but a royal thanks.
No I didn’t mean “Primus”, the presiding bishop in the Synod in the Scottish church. And if I did, wouldn’t you be engaging in a “church and state” suggestion, in a sinful violation of the secular-left-progressive religion?
So I tried doing a search for Michael Steele, the outgoing Chairman of the RNC, in case maybe they simply couldn’t spell Reince Priebus.
Nope. Didn’t mean Michael “Steel”.
And so of course I gave up.
