It’s not a “gaffe” because they’re “progressive”.
Here they are: socialists who never dare speak the word “socialism”. Folks who have the biggest hidden agenda in all the land, which is to dismantle the free market capitalist system as we know it in Canada, and to turn Canada into socialist state, and moreover with Canada as part of a “global socialist” order. That’s what I call your you’ve got to be kidding party—or “New” Democratic Party as they fashion themselves in order to help hide the socialism. The leftist news media division ably aids and abets the hiding.
But they don’t hide their passion for drugs, nor even hide their “privates”. Those things they expose for all to see—kids included. In fact maybe even mostly kids.
Today another one quit the race—the third one (Julian West—see him in photo with Jack Layton at a “gay pride” rally where there was no doubt lots of naked men and wymin)—and the media is mostly disinterested once again, reporting this one as nothing more than a small matter of a NDP candidate who took all of his clothes off at an “environmental” camp, in front of a bunch of kids, a few years ago.
DEARTH of DIRT
The usually busy, intrepid investigative reporters at the Conservative “gaffe”-exposing CTV are suddenly utterly uninterested in this story, or were simply a little shy in supplying pertinent factual information, choosing instead to hide some facts: “West apologized on the weekend for an incident 12 years ago in which he removed his clothes and swam naked at a retreat where children were present.”
Sounds like bad judgment but not bad enough to get arrested apparently. The CTV has editors. So this is by design.
The crack team of minutia-uncovering Conservative Party “gaffe” experts at the state-owned CBC were a little more expressive, but similarly glaring in its hiding of all the full information available: “Julian West, the NDP candidate for Saanich-Gulf Islands, announced his resignation Tuesday morning, following reports he took his clothes off in front of a group of teenagers at an environmental retreat 12 years ago. … No complaint was made to police and no charges were laid in the incident. West said Monday that beyond removing his clothes several times to go skinny-dipping, nothing inappropriate occurred.”
But when you read the Toronto Star report—which uses the same Canadian Press source as most others (including the CTV story, above) did today, you get a picture being painted of something a little more grotesque:
OTTAWA– An NDP candidate in B.C. has issued a public apology for taking off his clothes in front of minors at an environmental retreat 12 years ago.
Julian West, who is running in the Saanich-Gulf Islands riding, says he made a “serious error in judgement” by shedding his clothes a number of times, but stresses that nothing else inappropriate occurred.
He issued a statement that says his political opponents have raised the embarrassing incident and while he apologized at the time, he felt he had to do so again.
A 1996 newspaper article that has surfaced on the Internet reports that the RCMP investigated allegations that West removed his clothes in front of teens at the retreat and went skinny-dipping.
An RCMP officer is quoted as saying that police received complaints from the camp that West
and asked them to paint his body
. …
Why didn’t the CBC or CTV paint that picture? Did they run out of ink? Is it too graphic? Too “revealing” of their team? He wasn’t a Christian so it doesn’t matter? He’s not a conservative, so chill, baby?
A LACK OF JUDGMENT
Not only on the part of the NDP candidate and the NDP.
These socialists—all of them—the NDP, Liberals, their media—are the people who want to create a mammoth government-run “child care” (and “early learning” —wink!) system.
Don’t trust any of them with—or in front of—your kids. Hide your kids.
Meanwhile our catalog of liberals and leftists who have purposely stripped naked in front of the nation for all the world including kids to see—even on national state-owned, state-run CBC TV, grows.
The very small Scott Brison (fridge cold …brrr). Svend Robinson smells fishy. Bare-Ass Bob Rae is bare-assed on CBC.
