Kroum and Eva Pindoff, the founders of Music World Limited and a record distribution company called Pindoff Record Sales, pledged $5 million today to Asian tsunami relief. Just earlier this year the couple pledged $20 million to War Child Canada in their continuing effort to aid children in the developing world.
Canadians individuals have donated over $150 million to relief organizations. The Canadian government today upped the amount of Canadians taxpayers’ money they’ll donate on our behalf—to the tune of over $400 million of taxpayer money, including all the military DART team aid and the previously announced amounts.
Music World has 90 outlets and more than 1,000 employees across Canada, though no online presence that I can find, which is too bad because clearly that’s a great spot to choose to spend our after-tax and after-charity cash if or when we have any.
