I have a funny feeling they’d be playing this to the hilt if Libs were in power

Can you guess where this huge front page headline appeared this morning?  The liberals’ Ottawa Citizen division?  The state-owned CBC/National Post News and Advertising Cooperative?  The westcoast liberals’ Vancouver Sun division?

Well you’d be wrong!

OK how about the same headline in this top news headline aggregator:  The state-owned CBC’s very fair and balanced web site and not at all liberal-leftist promoting and anti-conservative state media and news web site of all get out?  I mean it’s pretty pro-Canada and news-y too, in light of the G-8 and G-20 summits coming up!

No!  Wrong again!

OK last chance.  The far-liberal-left Toronto Star?  The liberals’ Nation of Quebec division’s Montreal Gazette?

No.  Of course not.  You lose.  It’s the Philadelphia Daily News.

In fact we all lose here in Canada when the liberals’ media is so blinkered and ideological — so liberal-left and provincial in its outlook, and with liberalism so systemic and ingrained within their newsrooms and their whole editorial culture — that they can’t find it within themselves to simply report what is happening if it risks making Conservatives look good — even if it makes Canada look good.

I have a funny feeling if it were Jack Layton and Libby Davies’ you’ve got to be kidding party in power, or Michael Ignatieff’s progressives, the liberal-left’s state-owned CBC and its like-mindeds in newsrooms across Canada would be all over the liberals’ easily available and pro-Canada, Associated Press story.

IRONY:
The Canadians in our liberal and other state-owned news media who decide what news to deliver to you should actually read the AP story.  The AP, being just like them — an advocacy group for progressives instead of a source of news and facts — really just gushes that the only reason Canada’s economy is so relatively good right now and even moving into the year 2015… is that back in the 1990s, see, the fantastic Liberal Party finance minister and then failed (failed is my word) PM Paul Martin saved us in the 1990s and set us up for this easy ride through the worst recession in ages.  And also because of our leftard political parties’ hard-fought, tight government controls and regulations, on our otherwise insane capitalist banks, and what not.  All of this is really is just cover, designed to help them get what they really advocate, back home in the U.S., which is their man Obama and their Democrats’ progressive dream of a more Venezuelan-style government control of their own banks.
