conservative -- with bite!

Conservatives raised more than twice as much as all other parties combined

Posted by Joel Johannesen

Deeply buried with the story re-write I described just before this entry was this tidbit (no wonder they re-wrote it—so they could bury this positive-for-conservatives information deep within it!):  The Conservatives are MASSIVELY beating the other parties in fund-raising.  Earlier figures showed similar results, but these latest figures show a MASSIVE gap and a growing trend toward MASSIVELY HUGE differences in fundraising between the parties, with the Conservatives MASSIVELY outpacing the other parties.

Party officials had good financial news for the caucus, telling them the party raised nearly $5 million in donations in April, May and June for the campaign war chest.

They said that compared with the $1.4 million raised by the Liberals in the same period, $1.1 million by the New Democrats and $76,000 by the Bloc Quebecois.

That means the Conservatives raised nearly twice as much as all the other parties combined!

And that’s not HUGE news?!  Something you’d bury within another (non) story?  Not worthy of a separate article? A nice pro-conservative, positive headline like that?  Oh whoops!  Just answered my own question!  I’m getting dumber!

Canada’s media is humorous, even if it is blatantly, unabashedly biased toward the liberals and leftward. Soon, Canadians will get in on the humor.
